Experience
As a tutor, I have discovered the importance of not treating every student as if they are the same. There is a great deal of information that needs to be processed when evaluating a student's needs, and it is crucial that each situation be treated as unique to that individual in order to get the best results from tutoring. While my main focus is in Mathematics, I do have the skill and ability to tutor in other areas as well, as I excelled in all of my classes throughout school. My knowledge of Mathematics includes, but is not limited to: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Geometry, and Trigonometry. As of right now I am in the process of obtaining a PhD in Mathematics, and have nearly completed my masters degree at Morehouse College. During my time at Morehouse I have been retained by the department of my major as a tutor, and have helped students in that capacity for the last three years. In addition to working as a tutor I have also had the opportunity to spend time in a laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the California Institute of Technology.
