I pride myself in my love of teaching. I attended Emory University where I majored in Chemistry and minored in Hindi. While studying for the past 10 years, I have taught and worked with a variety of students, ranging from toddlers learning their colors to seniors who were motivated to graduate with a high school diploma. I would have to say that my passion is working with those who are non-traditional students. I receive joy while helping students with disabilities or students who are having troubles at home. My teaching belief stems from completely understanding a student's academic ability and needs. Once I can completely understand what the student needs, I then can focus on customizing the perfect tutoring approach for that individual. I'm convinced that teaching and learning can in fact be fun. As long as there is motivation and determination, students will always shine. I am free to tutor in many different areas. Mathematics, SAT and GED test preparation, English and Writing, and Psychology are just a few of the several areas where I can help students excel. When I am not working, I have a love of dance. I also enjoy exploring different places, reading, spending quality time with my friends, and living a "green" lifestyle.
