EducationVanderbilt University - BA, Mathematics, Philosophy
ExperienceI am a tutor with a bachelor's in Mathematics as well as a bachelor's in Philosophy, both earned from Vanderbilt University. I began tutoring classmates in high school for AP Physics and carried this over to college. As an employee for the Vanderbilt University Athletics Department, I tutored student athletes as well as middle and high school students in Mathematics, Physics, Calculus, Chemistry, Psychology, and Test Prep. My favorite subjects to teach are Physics, Mathematics, and Calculus, because the knowledge gained from these studies can enrich the understanding of the natural world. These subjects are also difficult to grasp, making it even more rewarding to see my students begin to understand the material being taught. Because there can be multiple ways to solve a problem, particularly in Mathematics, I am flexible and cater to each student's individual needs. While I am not currently enrolled in school, I am contemplating returning as a graduate student in either Mathematics or Education. When I am not tutoring I enjoy playing music and writing music, as well as reading, writing, and spending time outdoors.
HobbiesOutside of academia, my hobbies include playing and writing music, reading, writing, and enjoying the great outdoors.
