Experience
I attended Southern IL University, where I acquired my bachelor's degree in elementary and special education. I also attended GA State University, where I acquired my master's degree in math and instructional technology. I have taught mathematics for about thirty years, and I have recently retired. I have taught children in middle school and elementary school. The students I taught came from all different walks of life and have all different skill levels. I have worked with remedial level students to gifted students. I also have experience working with students in special education classes and ESL classes.I have a passion for working with children. I enjoy helping them learn, and I also enjoy helping them build up their confidence so that they can be successful in school and outside of school. As for my teaching style, I like to get to know each of my students. I want to know their strengths as well as their weaknesses. Once I get an idea of what they need to improve on, I can tailor a lesson plan for that particular student. I like to use a mixture of tools while teaching. I use both online tools and paper based tools. I am truly looking forward to working with you and your child.
