I've been teaching high school students for nearly 15 years. In that time, I've taught US History, World History, Government, English, Creative Writing, and Study Skills. My students have been of all ability levels -- from AP to new immigrants to illiterate teens. I specialize in teaching reading, writing, study skills and test readiness to teens. If you struggle with writing, reading, or taking tests, I'm the tutor you need! As a history teacher in New York City, 100% of my students passed their state exams (which included writing two essays), and half of those students had mastery scores over 90. I'm not in the classroom currently because I'm raising and teaching my own child, but my skills and my passion remain the same: I want to help you succeed academically!
